Having been advised that white breeches are a no no for showing, I have bunged them in the wash with some cheapy dusters to make them beige-ish... the result...
LEMON YELLOW!:o

I put them through the wash twice first with two dusters (which only dyed the inside, not the outside) then with four dusters on a hotter wash. They're not quite canary yellow, and not quite beige... With the poor lighting, the pictures don't really do the colour justice! They really are yellow! :D Will they do? I also recall I'm meant to do something with cold water and salt to seal the colour in? What would that be?
BTW, am aware they're mens breeches (they were my dad's but although they say 36 inch on the lable, they're only about 30inch, so he couldn't get his legs in, let alone get them on, so I adopted them - brand new!). Will anyone notice?

They look fine. Honestly a judge won't say "oh she's getting 5th instead of 4th because her breeches are a tint yellow":D

dylon works fab for jods by the way and really is colourfast. I got soaked in my freshly dyed bright blue ones twice last weekend and me, horse, saddle and jods all still thankfully the right colour :) I'm going to turn my manky salomon pink ones high vis fusia next :D aj xx

Sez, you look very smart. I dyed my old black cord jods with Dylon as they'd gone pale grey with wear. I used black dye and they came out navy blue!! Had to throw them away in the end when I realised I could see my leg through the material. They'd gone threadbare.
