Hmm, am absolutely no authority on this but the mare I ride has it (I believe)for her joints and to encourage her to eat the food she has as she is fussy, which would not support weight loss I think? But I may have that wrong.....

I've googled it and seems to be used for joints, coat, hooves, fussy eaters, appetite, digestion - loads of things in fact. But not weight loss as far as I can see. Seems to be popular for people too - might try some myself!

Don't know about weight loss but I have heard that putting a little in their water lowers the ph of their blood helping keep pesky flies at bay.

Haven't tried this so no idea whether it works or not!

I used it as a joint supplement for arthritis and an appetite stimulant!

I thought it was meant to be good for joints.

I certainly hope not, my horse is on conditioning cubes and apple cider vinegar so there wouldn't be much point in either of them!
Google it, you may just find your answer (it is used for loads of things).
