Hey guys!
Had my private jumping lesson last friday, went so well! Ive had some mega confidence issues with jumping, and last weeks lesson definetly helped me to bury my demons!
Rode a really nice, forward going welsh sec. D, one of my fave horses at my riding school, she was fantastic, didnt put a foot wrong for me.
I managed all 9 sets of jumps in the SJ field including a triple combination, a one (canter) stride double and a two (canter) stride double, and a (eek!) triple bounce! Also my RI set up some decent sized oxers and cross poles for me to jump before doing some straight bars. Finally i linked 6 of the jumps and combinations together and did a little course. All the jumps were fairly decent sized (well, for me anyway!) put up on the 5th-6th or 7th holes from the bottom of the jump wings, and the field is mostly level but has a few slightly sloping areas, so some of the jumps were slightly up or downhill depending on the way i jumped them. For some reason, i seem to find jumping slightly downhill scarier, anyone else find that? Still managed to get round though, which was really good for me! So pleased!
Knackered that evening, was half asleep when i was exercising my friends horse, almost got unseated when he bucked his way through a canter transition!
Next riding lesson is on monday, with my usual group, in the SJ field, so my new found confidence will be put to the test!
Thanks to all the people who replied to my last post about jumping confidence!
