Does anyone else keep a diary of how things are going with their horses? I have a book for each of my horses giving details of schooling sessions competition results worming, vaccs, shoeing etc.
I started one for my foal the day he was born with all my goals and things set out. I put a height chart in it(he was 10.3hh at birth 11.3 one and a half months later and today he's 12.1hh sorry for that irrelevant info).
Anyway, I was just wondering how many others did the same.

It was something that I was told to do when I first started bringing horses on for an old employer as he could read it and follow progress without having to watch every time I rode. It's just a habit now. I'm even putting photos in Levis one, It's more like a baby book than a training diary LOL.

No, but i used to. When i had Barnaby i had a book called 'the Barnaby book' :D. It used to say planned schooling sessions etc. I never did for Aramis although i think i shall for the next horse :)

I do for both of mine. I keep a book with all their papers, and achievements, and photos ... and I keep a spreadsheet with all their costs and hours ridden and training .. quite anal really - I can tell you to the $ the cost of each of mine per hour, per day, including the cost of the truck, how many hours they've been ridden this year, in total etc etc (btw joePony costs $8.72 per hour ridden this year, and Rosie costs $12.73 !!)

I keep one when I'm fitness training my horse and it's got heartrate, respiratory rate, temperature, distance covered, speed and time, and fill that out every day. It helps me plan when he will be fittest and when he needs to start being let-down. My bf thinks this is way OTT because it's not even like I compete with him!!! LOL :o I just enjoy fussing over my horse, alright? Sheesh.
When I'm not so fitness-focused, I only note down when I should start trying to call my farrier, wormers, sheath cleaning dates(I tend to put this off so I have to make myself do it), how much he's eating/what he's being fed, how he's doing conditon-wise, and I only do that once for the week.

I do the Cooper posts on here and print them out - havn't got around to puting them in a file yet, though.
When we start competing I'll probably keep a record of that too.
It really is great - especially the photos and vids.

I started a blog (see my sig!) although I haven't written in it for a couple of weeks. It's dead easy to do, and you can attach photos and stuff.
