I entered western pleasure and western equitation. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to riding western more often! Here are some pictures of me and Red.

So, how did you do? How did the show go in general? Do you normally ride English then? You wouldn't be able to tell if so:p

Red was much more relaxed in the western classes than in English. I did not place in any of the western classes. That's fine though, it was just pure fun!! Red was too forward moving in the western pleasure class and for the western equitation class there were two things wrong - I could not get Red to pick up the correct lead for the second lope in the pattern, and I was holding my reins slightly wrong. Oh well, still fun!

Yes I normally ride/show english. I wanted to give western a try, and it was lots of fun, can't wait to do it again! Thank you for the compliment!!

Not me, but that's my horse's name:D Or Monty for short....

I think they called him that because that's where his sire was imported from.
I have more family connections in California and Texas (which is where my sister now lives and manages a ranch - how I got into Western though I live in the UK:) ) She has a little horse called Red too, although he's now done the typical Appy thing and gone white:rolleyes:
