So today.... first ride EVER on my newish horse (4 mos with me)...actually not MY idea.. RI just sorta pushed it on todays lesson...So the object was for me to ride to and from their stalls to where I have my lessons, 2 barn away...which on a normal walk/ride is about a 10-15 min task...
So I saddle up...and got going.. although I'm sure I was very nervous at this time... and I am certain I have but a death grip on my reins, too! :p
My horse did fine, as we walked along the trees..next to barking dogs,car, other horses, cows all on one trip...! We did about a couple of these trips, it was n't bad at all... my horse kept neighing away though, trying to call out to my other mare who was w/ my daughter at her lesson... apart form that 'noisy' display.. we both came out okay at the end... I was a little nervous and unsure I could do it... but RI walked next to me, and things went just fine......WHEW!:D
