As many people will know, Sparks is my older, but still very active  14hh pony. She's not very "foody" (is that the right word?), but usually tidies up her feed. She dislikes changes to her routine, and gets upset over little things, eg when she was given my sisters horses feedbowl, she threw a tanty about it, and really hates eating hay if it's gotten even vaguely wet.
Over the last couple of days, the weathers been terrible (cold rainy haily  ) and so I haven't ridden, although have gone out wrapped in several jackets, to feed/hay and just generally give her some attention.
Today I went out to catch her, and found her feedbowl still half full, I called her over and she stuffed her gob straight into it and started munching with a happy expression on. After dragging her away from it (and corresponding charming ladylike facials) I rode her etc, and she was fine. I scrubbed out the feedbowl incase it tasted funny etc, and fed her this evening, and she ate like her normal self.

Could she have just not been hungry or plain forgotten about it, or is there something seriously wrong?
Mummy's panicking like you wouldn't believe!

Her reaction when she saw her bucket suggests to me that she just forgot about it..... with the greatest of respect to the elderly, they do tend to get a bit forgetful so who's to say it's not the same with horses!

Older horses are such a worry aren't they? Don't panic.... she scoffed it all once reunited with her bucket so I'm sure she's just fine.....

I'm thinking she did just forget...but then I picked up some equine work and began panicking at some of the things I was reading about
She's a rather picky wee thing, my friend was feeding her when she gave her the wrong bucket, apparently Sparks went mental and galloped around the paddock bucking like a maniac until it got changed :D
I'm debating making a run down to see her (she lives at home, just across the paddocks) just to make sure...!

if it was just a one off i wouldnt worry, Star rarely finishes his breakfast all in one go he'll go out for the morning and then pick at it for the rest of the afternoon! but he's always hungry again come tea time!
