OH! and he only has polo wraps because the vet wanted to make sure he wasnt weirded out by things on his legs. But right now he has a hematoma I think.. On his hind leg. Those are two days after we got him. I may post more at a later date.

Do you mean he's a Belgian/QH cross? I guess that would explain the thick neck! :) He's really cute, I especially like the last picture of him.
He does look a little stiff or tense in some of the ridden pics but it could just be the way he carries his head and neck. Have fun with him!

His neck is also very large because hes got the stud neck and jaw. I beleive? He was gelded late. And four years old , anyways. We have to use a rope halter because nothing fits around his cheek. :P Very handsom, also calmed down quite easily. after a week from being gelded he got VERY quiet.:D

For someone quite chunky, he looks a bit thin to me - you can see his ribs, and his hips are very angular... Other than that, he looks quite nice.

i thaught that about the ribs, but then i realised my tb is exactly the same.
as round as a barrel but you can see his ribs, just very well sprung ribs i guess.
wilson certainly looks well covered enough apart from that.
maybe he's a bit down in condition from his recent operation?

yes for such a heavily built horse why can i see his ribs?......... He wasnt fed at hid last owner, they put out a bale of hay for him, and the another once it was gone.... But the Hay was VERY moldy and smelt bad. That may explain the ribs, Please know I have nothing to do with underfed horses, All of our horses are actually over weight by a hundred or so pounds.. I've only had him for about 4 weeks, and for 1 of those, he wasnt here, then after he got here, he got gelded.. He is also not in shape because he wasnt ridden, I am NOT a bad horse owner :S

He is gorgeous, he looks quite well in proportion and looks to have lovely paces. He does look a little stiff, but that could just be because he is so chunky and it just makes him look a little stiff. He probably just needs more schooling as he is still quite young.
He's a lovely chap!

He's Beautiful hope you and him have a great time together.
Ride him for a while and then reaccess his stiftness, might just need a little exercise just like the rest of us.
Sad people want to neglect these wonderful creatures.

=) Yesterday he went on the road for the first time!! =D he did AWESOME..the trail ride before that he took of in a fit of bucks, Thank Goodness I stayed on, because I would have landed on rocks. This ride we took him down the road and too the ice cream parlor, He really likes the cones, My mothers horse REALLY likes mint chocolate chip ice cream =D ... So it was a sucessful day for mr.wilson.. when he came home he got a nice slop of oats and bran, to try to put on that last 100 LBS he needs (mom fiquires his ribs just show because they do, and thats not gonna change.)

Yes, the first thing I noticed was his ribs. He needs a little more weight on him and he'll look lovely. Have you wormed him?

Life is tough for my Mr.Wilson. Joking, Joking, joking.. Right now hes on beet pulp and oats ,were gonna try that.
