I know I should know this, but I don't! Could somebody please tell me what it is?:confused:

I think it goes from 1-10 1 being very poor, can see the ribs and generally have no muscle then 10 to being very overweight, I think...correct me if Im wrong...:D anything in between is the ideal...I think!!

It's useful to use alongside using your weight tape.
I find weight tapes alone not brilliant but a useful tool, but used in conjunction with the condition scoring at least when you feel your horse is at about 3 which is probably about right for most leisure horses or whatever the scale is that you are using, you can check his weight using the tape and then you have a rough idea of what is ideal for your horse and then can monitor gain/loss.
I only really came across it in a magazine about weight watching for horses!!:rolleyes:
