Hi I don't know if feedback is the word but oh well lol
Reply to my 1st thread before the lesson http://www.newrider.com/forum/showthread.php?t=88919 for all you who avn't read the other thread.
I had my lesson and it started a bit slow and not wanting to go but my RI taught me a technique of putting your leg on off on off then once your at a speed you like relax once slowing down leg bk on again and it really worked. Also i used my whip pointing up and waving it about which she didnt like so she was off i worked on walk 2 trot and halt to walk transistions my steering is bad but shes not a good horse for steering alot lol. I also CANTERED for the first time without holding onto the pommel !! :D :D :D :D :D

all in all gr8 lesson and got another on Tues

what do you mean by putting your leg on off on off:o it's just i was out last nite on a hack on my dad's friends daughters horse and she's really slow aswell sometimes, i gave her a few kicks an she speeds up a bit then slows down again lol Soo was just wondering what you meant as i could maybe give it a try:)

well you squeeze in the side then relax your foot and repeat till you've got an active walk then relax altogether once the horse slows down put squeeze agen and relax and squeeze and realx until again you have the walk you want again. I found it very effective!
