Thakyou. But i do know these things you have pointed out.
I have ridden him to day, and i tock off the roundings. the flash nosband he dos need becose he crosses he jaw. as for the standing martingale i dont like it eather! i am going to put the running martingale on tomarow.
he dos NOT fight eany of his tack. he is happy in it, but i feel that his head is not free enoff.

I am looking at outher bits too! he dos not like the pelham. i dont eather. althow he is strong the bit is to strong.

I think he would go well in a DR Bristol. i know a lot of pepol dont like them but i have had a lot of horses go well in them and i get a tune out of them too! i am also thinking about the french bridoon. i might also try the kineton noseband my old mare went so well in that. she was lik him.

really he is a mans ride not a lady's!

Thankyou agane for all your help.
eany outher iders for bits etc....????

He may actually be happier in a mild bit. Another option is the Myler bits - try and find a local stockist who knows what they are doing with them as there is a huge range available. This turned out to be the solution with my friend's gelding. He competes up to Medium level dressage in a snaffle but is an absolute lunatic to hack out. He is unstoppable in a Kimblewick or a double bridle or his ordinary snaffle but is quite amenable in a Myler snaffle. They don't suit all horses but it might be worth a try.

I agree with LDG on the Myler bit. I have an 8 yr old off the track TB gelding who can be very strong with me. I thought he needed a harsher bit so I tried the twisted french link full cheek snaffle...He spent the entire ride fighting me. I was hesitant spending $75 on a bit so I found a rent-a-myler website (you can try the bit out before buying) and rented the Level 1 D-Ring Comfort snaffle with roller & 2 hooks. My horse has never been so happy to have a bit in his mouth!! He is going better then ever. The best thing about the bit, is it gives relief to the horses tongue. The "traditional" snaffle causes A LOT of nutcracking pain to the horses tongue & mouth. The Myler also has independent side movement, which makes your rein aids MUCH more clear to the horse.
