The trekker talent is made from smooth leather, the barefoot from nubuck. The new talent design looks like it gives a lot more whither clearance as well. Not too sure about any other differences though :)

Having tried both, I would say that the Barefoot feels and looks a better quality. It also comes in 3 different sizes.

The Trekker however is more comfortable, very soft leather, but the one I tried was bigger than a size one Barefoot Cheyenne. I think you can only get Trekker Talents in one size. And it was far too big for my 13.1hh Fell.

The Trekker was smooth leather, whereas the Barefoot was nubuck leather.

I think it's just a question of personal preference really.

The other differences I have noticed are - the barefoot cheyenne has square stirrup leather dees and the upper for the seat goes over the cantle, whereas the trekker has D shaped stirrup leather 'dees' and the seat pad goes underneath the cantle (which could also account for some of the additional comfort).

Don't know what the arrangement is on the cheyenne is for the stirrup attachment?? I know on a torsion the stirrups are simply attached by a straight web\leather strap going from one side to the other. In the trekker there is a large triangular piece of leather.
