alright i was thinking of buying a saddle from ebay,i found out my size and everything but i'm not sure if i should buy it,i've only been riding for about 4 months, but i;m sick of having to keep adjusting the holes and what not, also i haven't exactly asked my instructor if she would allow it, do u think there would be a problem with me having a saddle,or should i jsut hold off until i ride for a longer period of time

Do you always ride the same horse? It's either going to be a hit or a miss buying a saddle without seeing it fitted on the horse (unless it is treeless- and even then you must get the padding underneath right). The important thing if you do buy a treed saddle is to get it fitted properly by a qualified saddler.

Buying a saddle for a horse you don't have is like buying shoes for a husband you haven't met yet...
If your instructor has any sense at all she will not allow you to waste your money right now. Perhaps you can get your own stirrup leathers?

Adjusting the leathers and straps is something you have to get used to doing even with a one horse one saddle situation. Get used to it because horses don't stay the same shape forever, you need different length leathers etc for different jobs.
The horse should have his own saddle which fits him. A great investment is to buy a Heather Moffett, seat saver, it fits onto any English saddle and will make it more comfy and secure for you to sit in. This way you will have a custom saddle for you each time. This, with your own leathers, will make things a whole lot better for you.
