bending

i have been working on bending w/ maya...we just cant seem to get it. i ask her to bend and she bends her neck but her body stays straight as a board. how can i get her to bend thru her whole body?

i had the same prob when i was riding my pony BLUE!!:D

what i did was put 2 cones far apart and used my legs to try and do that and she got good then i added 1 more con and 1 more and i kept on bringing them closer and she does it great now:D

My friend had the same prob and my idea worked a bit but then we did alot of schooling with KEZ ( pony ) and we leant her so of the legs aids and now she is the best at bending and we both compete against each other in gymkanas!! i won some she won some it was great fun though!!!!:D

Hey my one mare had this problem, now she bends auto maticly. My other mare I'm still working on. There is this excersise were you go in a large circle and then u go in the cirgle then go back out. It's like a spiral. keep a good strong inside leg when your turning corners. :)

A horse's spine cannot bend the same way as his neck, it just don't bend that way! Is her bum swinging out? Is she over bending her neck?

No , when they go to the smaller part of the circle they have to bend their bodies. then you have to keep your circle and go back to the first circle u did. it's hard to explain in words.
