Hi guys,
Been off line all week, having worked nights, and am completely out of touch with what is going on and who is up to what.... I'm so tired I can hardly see straight, and have about 47 pages of 'new threads' to trawl through... someone take pity, please... and 'do' me an update:D
My news is that my sharer/schooler/rider of Dolly is fabulous, and has Dolly working well on group hacks when NOT in front, apart from the old cantering on the spot stuff... my lesson was cancelled on BH Monday as my instructor couldn't make it, re scheduled for Tues.... which I had to cancel having gone for a rare night out on Monday and stayed out partying til 4.30am:eek: *note to self, you are too old for that behaviour*. Lesson needs to be rescheduled now off nights.
Dolly has put weight on again according to Poohsmate, who has been down to see us today, to tweak her saddle and see other hosses on the yard, so she's back on strict rations, 12hrs in the stable and more exercise from today:rolleyes:
Other than that she is lovely and gorgeous as ever:D

That's my main news (and you know the other stuff ;) )...
Hmmm.... let me think.... briefly (and I'm sorry if I omit a few details...)
NoviceNic moved yards with Captain today... was very nervous about it but it all went fine by all accounts.
Bobbin's Bryony is still doing really well barefoot and booted and has surprised Bobbin by behaving herself really well recently. This may be because she is jealous because Bobbin has been helping someone out by riding their horse and spent an hour by the mouting block with it one night, when she learned that she has patience!!
Little Dolphins continues to recover from her concussion. She managed her bank holiday hooley at the pub where we were treated to a video extravaganza of her harmonies and tambourine shaking from Whatanejit. HQ is doing splendidly with her auntie.
Whatanejit has recently found out that someone she considered a friend has been lying to her all along! Cooper is still doing brilliantly and is starting to improve in canter. He has also shown that he can now be hacked out alone. May is doing well too.
Cazrider's OH is getting a bit too big for his (riding) boots and considers himself a horse-expert now... I'm sure Caz will soon beat that out of him.... :p
Pink's Lady is getting stressed by finding lots of potential horses which then fail the vettings (4 so far, I think)
Monty is after a witty slogan for her horsebox (trailer?)
Jojoba is still horse-hunting.
Scarlett's saddle turned up at last but she was a bit wibbly riding after 4 months
Oh gosh! This is like trying to remember all the things on the conveyor belt at the end of The Generation Game.....
Didn't she do well??? :D

Hi HC. Nice to have you back.:D
Cazrider's OH is getting a bit too big for his (riding) boots and considers himself a horse-expert now... I'm sure Caz will soon beat that out of him....
Apart from turning into a husband beater... thanks Jane:rolleyes: :p I have been away in Sardinia most of this week so haven't been on the board either. Jane's update was just great as I could catch up as well. I have had a new person school Sennie for me, but I'm not so sure about it. Watch this space.:)

Brilliant update Jane! Thankyou:D
Sounds like I've missed masses! New horses, horses being sent off for training, coming back from training, new members *waves* Hi Rowdent- great name yourself!, escaping horses, horses lame, horses getting better, folk getting married... phew! I think I need a lie down now:D
I'm not really any more with it today, having finished work at 7.30am on saturday, I was back there at 7am today- not really enough time to turn my body clock back round!
Have conquered a demon today though by taking Dolly out for a hack in very high winds AND in company- she was an absolute star:D :D
Right, off for a root around to see what else I've missed now:D

Hiya, Well Domane was correct in that I am a bit unsure of riding after such a long break. Plus the saddle is having fit issues - Skeet's asymmetry is even more problematic than the saddler had accounted for. He is in town next week so I hope to see this fixed up at that point (saddle is slipping sideways). So things are not smooth for me yet. Oh yes, I am walking Skeeter in the saddle while I wait for it to be fixed. My long reining talent is not transferring to riding, and I can't get anything better than a giraffe neck from him at the moment - my trainer says I don't really know how to use my driving aids as effectively under saddle and that is the problem. :(
Anyhow, glad to hear you are back! Glad to hear that Dolly is doing well. :)

Not much info from me apart from the fact my mare has lost a shoe...but can still be ridden thanks to my easyboot!
