after seeing something advertised to help with raised poles (jump pods i think they're called?!) i thought hmmm rather expensive for a little bit of plastic seeing as old paint pots filled with sand/water/rocks work just as well! and you can use varying sizes of paint pot depending on the height you want the poles!

Pole pods i think they're called. Yea it is better to use plant pots or whatever...but obviously the market has to cater for the 'posher' crowd .
Plant pots are actually a good idea, thanks haha :D.

if you only want to raise then a few inches i stick my jump cups into the sand & prop the poles on them , free seen as i already have jump cups!

Just a question, how do you get a round pole to stay on top of a small flat plant pot? Would it not roll off? :o
Do quite like the idea, and ive been wanting to make some raised trotting poles but unsure how...was going to use short unused pieces of wood leftover from the fencing!

ive been using paint tins, lay them on their side and stand on them a bit so they dent slightly sloves the rolling prob!

Bright idea ... some painting needs to be done too, and when your doing 4 stables and the rest of the barn (theyre indoor stables) im assuming we'll need a fair few tins of paint.
Will rinse them all out (my two irish horses love eating and licking things they shouldnt - my draft proceeded to rip our bin to shreds y'day!) thoroughly and stand on them before giving them a try with Eddie.
Thanks.

Maybe i should design my own "polepods" but at a cheaper price! :p - Same idea as the original ones but at a more affordable price!
