Misty's first Hack

Misty and I went on our first hack today, she was a little star.. SO well behaved.. I managed to snap a couple of "hack" photos..:D Sorry I took them with my mobile phone, so they aren't very good quality.. but they give you an idea.. I shall try better ones another day..

Look at those ears.. :) She is so interested in everything, but doesn't spook or shy.. although she did enjoy the homeward stretch more than the outward! LOL it's like a switch has been thrown.. "oooh I'm going home.. better go faster.." :D

We had a few trots, a couple of canters and it was SUCH a beautiful day.. we really enjoyed ourselves..:D I feel SO Lucky..

She is now well and truly tucked up in her bed, enjoying a well deserved haynet.. Sweet dreams Misty...

Aww thanks...LOL.. Well she didn't like the wirring camera noise the phone made when I took them...:lol it's about the only thing she didn't.. so I may take my real camera next time, if I can work out how? LOL.. that doesn't make camera noises! LOL go figure..:D

I ride her next on Saturday.. I get the whole day and I intend to make the most of it..:)

:D I had SUCH a lovely time, it's YEARS since I had done a solo hack.. and it was just perfect...

My son came up to the yard to help me muck out.. and much to my amazement he DID.. he even picked up the poo, with the rubber gloves on, and as he is so squeemish.. I was amazed.. he now says he wants riding lessons!! :rolleyes: - He's 8 by the way.. so I shall have to find out how much kids lessons cost.. must be less than adults... :confused: but I can hardly say no now can I? LOL..

my first solo hack i came back with no circulation in my arms as i had not moved them from one position (forward holding reins) for a whole hour :D

you took one hand OFF the reins on your 1st solo hack to take a photo - wow i am impressed LOL Misty doesn't like too much contact anyway, so it wasn't too hard.. but this was before the low flying light aircraft this weekend just gone!! Two flew right over our heads! Misty didn't turn a hair, but I did! :eek: I tried to take another pic, but it didn't come out too well.. so I decided just to ride this time..

Next Misty ride : This coming Wednesday.
