Hi
Thought I'd let you all know how I'm getting on.
Have had another "Refresher" lesson tonight. On a TB x 17 1. (A little daunting to say the least)
Groomed him etc bit twitchy (WATTS is his name) and me!!! Talked to him bit serious at first, Saddled up etc and here goes.

I was a little nervous - he is sooo big..

I had a good time he was lovely, gentle bit dopey at first and the RI (now friendly informer) - helped me push him on. He kept stopping at a certain edge of the field , I got strong and he skipped around. Did different things changed rein etc trott halt stand, all the normal - things.
Improved on my position completely I have a legs that are made for a COW.... heavy dumpy and old, I think my ankles and leg muscles will hurt tomorrow. Sophie did excellently I am sooooo proud of her. She trots around the yard like she's been there forever. The YO and RI are going to help and support me with looking for our own. So I am now on the look for a COB from 14+. JUST WANT TO LOVE AND CARE FOR HIM/HER
Will get there in the end like some of you...

Well done, sounds like you are getting on great. It's so much easier when you have good support in your journey back to horses. Any luck on the horse searching front yet ?

I feel sooo much better now.

I am still looking.. Finding it a bit hard the Worcestershire area seems to disappear when you search for horses!!! Any one got any good ideas on searching the best way....

I always seem to end up with ones I saw on the internet, not been disappointed yet, but it does seem that when you are seriously looking the lovely horses seem to vanish into thin air !
