Hi Jane... he is lurrrverly. We all thought so :D

Enya was really brave and after his lovely owner rode him, did his dressage piece and had him warmed up E did some walk, much trot and a short canter. She is totally smitten!

After that his mummy showed us him popping over a little crosspole and then she rode another horse and they both went on a hack along the road and the nearby common.

He really is a credit to his owner, she has him as fit as a fiddle and he's got loads of muscle in all the right places.

His mummy is going to find it hard to let him go, she said as much and we can see why. He may be 22 but when ridden he's an 8 year old! Full of beans. Enya said she could feel him being quite strong when they were hacking and had to pull him back a few times which she liked... it's better than constant leg on for her. He didn't put a hoof wrong.

His mummy will ring us on Monday, having had a 'think' - it's a big wrench and she wants to make sure he'll get the variety of work that he currently enjoys. As for E, she'd have him like a shot :D She wants to have him so much and to send his mummy video diaries of he and she progressing.

Hope to update in the week with some good news about a new member of the family :D

Thanks guys... Enya is really worried his mum will change her mind...

I'm so proud of her overcoming her wibbly legs to ride yesterday too; she's got a good weekend job now and is committed to paying for her own horse, bless her heart.

She has so many things she wants to do and thinks she can achieve it with him, learn to jump (big ambititon having popped a cross pole on a friend's horse recently), she wants to school (desperately) and would like to do some local shows next summer when her confidence will undoubtedly return. She'll enjoy hacking with me on moody Megs.

It was funny last night as she watched the footage of her riding... 'look at my FEET/ARMS/POSTURE!!' just look at the way I'm sitting, Oh my gawwwd!!! Thing is, he was so good and listened to her, bless - He heee, we're never happy are we?

Oooh everything crossed here too, he sounds a real poppet :D and well done Enya for overcoming her wibbles and riding him, I remember from my horse hunting how horrible it was riding a strange horse in front of the owners.
