ack its days like this that make it all worthwhile

[Maddison's girl]

You may know that I have been trying to teach Maddison to hack out alone. Well yesterday couldnt even get her down the path without her bolting :eek: scary but we lived to tell the tale. Anyway went out today and she was an absolute star :D Only hacked for about 15 mins up the road but what a good girl she was. We met cows (took a look but thats all) Had a little jump when the scary log lay there in the middle of the road without moving :rolleyes: but nowt apart from that!

Then down to Cornwall to see Libby in trainning. We watched her being lunged and long reigned in full tack. She also was a star :D The trainer says she has a fantastic temperment and if all goes well when she actully backed this week, wont need to stay as long as we had her booked in for. So hopefully in three weeks time Libby will be able to come home with me.

It would be lovely to get Libby home faster than planned - its all so exciting!

I don't know the history of Maddison but it sounds a little scary. But lets hope your on the way to success, 15mins is a thousand times improved from 'down the path' so well done :) Haven't you heard the news reports about logs laying supposedly dormant until the second you walk by and then they jump up and gobble horses up for dinner?! :rolleyes: She was so right to be worried! xxx
