Last week I rode a lesson hore. I have been riding her for 2 1/2 months, once a week. This week she wouldn't walk up to the cow because she normally does and performs well at cutting. So my trainer gave me spurs to make her go. She went alright. She bolted galloping faster than I imagined she could go. Then I got off her and my trainer rode her. I got back on but I refused to trot her because i WAS scared she would bolt again. And just finally got off for good that day. I really like her and I want to ride her again but I'm really scared does anybody have any tips?

I think you should get back on. Everyone experiences their first bolt sooner or later, it's just a good thing you didn't fall from yours! I fell from my first bolt, don't feel bad!

It sounds as though the problems you had were after the trainer gave you spurs to wear.
Have you worn spurs to ride before ?
Do you know how to use them correctly ?
If you were not using the spurs correctly, i.e. constantly using them, the horse may have felt that you wanted to go that fast.
From your post it sounds as though this was the problem.
