okay...... if i put one of my mares to a arab stallion which one should it be?
1. golden dun, 15.2hh, dutchWB X connie, chunky girl.
2.light bay, 15.3hh, pure TB, slender and fast.
3.bright chesnut, 16hh, irish sports horse, BIG muscley type!!.
which would be the best and what colour would they end up?
the arab stallion is 15hh dark bay crabbet type.
 :) :D

Depends what you want to breed!;)
I would perhaps go with the TB mare as the Anglo-Arab is a tried and tested useful cross.
Second choice would be your big ISH - perhaps the Arab would give a bit more refinement and lightness.

the prodigy would be my next dressage horse or my sisters.(she is learning though) i ahve always liked anglos and X's with arabs as they show off a tad more while competeing. what sort of colour would turn up though?

would have to look up the colour charts but i would go with the ISH. the thoroughbred would be my second choice, the ISH would give a bigger dressage horse i think. crabbets are not quite as fine boned so i would expect the stallion to be a brilliant choice if you were to go with the thoroughbred - thoroughbreds normally associated with fine bones. Nice to hear someone else that thinks the arabs have got something to give to dressage.

Colour wise?
Dun to bay = 50% bay, 50% dun
Chestnut to bay = chestnut or bay depending what genes the stallion carries. If only one chestnut gene is passed on, the foal will be any colour but!
Can I ask you which stallion you are thinking of using? Is he Crabbet or just a chunkier Arab?
