Hi

Has anyone here ever used TTeam work on their horse? I've had the book for a while now and have done some of the leading exercises and the leg work but now have time to do some of the body touches.

I'm having a problem doing the Clouded Leopard touch. The book states to move the hand around in a circle one and a quarter times, only I can't get my wrist to do that! If I start with my fingers at 6pm and move in a clockwise circle the farthest I can get is 3pm (3/4 of a circle) and that's painful.

Is there a trick to doing this? Can I just do as much of a circle as I can manage?

Thanks
Amanda

I don't think you're meant to twist your hand round in a circle! Just put your fingers in place and make little circles on the horses skin without lifting the fingers, or changing the direction of the hand. At least thats what I understand from my book.

him

thats right, your not suppoed to turn your wrist around,

you just do circles with your fingers, i did a little day program at the barn about it, and we learned the stuff.

good luck

That makes much more sense! It's the bit that says about having your thumb on the skin that threw me, I thought the whole hand was supposed to turn around the thumb.

Good job I practiced it (the wrong way) on my hubby and not my horse!

Thanks

Did it work on him then?:D

It just annoyed him! Although he was on the computer at the time and it was putting him off.

It's easier on people though, no fur!

I live for TTEAM.

Clouded Leopard TTouch is easy once you get the hang of it.

The idea is to place your hand in a claw shape on the horse, and to rotate your fingers one and a quarter circles, pushing the skin round - they're useless if you just let your hands slide off the hair.
