Had a great time on my hols, Vegas isn't the best place for horse stuff but we found enough :D

The reining derby was on when we first got there, we only had 1 day available to go see it, and the people we were staying with decided they wanted to come down with us. Got there and watched 1 rookie horse run, then they announced the end of the class and that they would be giving awards then having lunch before resuming. As we had everyone with us (kids in tow and all sorts) we couldn't hang around :( So that was very dissapointing

Then we went tack shopping, I got a really nice cream and red SMx Air Ride pad, a new bridle and reins and a latigo to go with my new saddle, I am hopeing the weather will hold out this weekend so I can get some pictures of maddam in it all :D I also brought some boots and various other little bits and bob's T'was great :D

Pointless post really, just thought I would share :o

It really wasn't that hot, about 85-95 the whole 2 weeks, I was hoping it would be nearer the 100 mark but oh well :o It does feel bloomin cold here now though :D

I wasn't over keen on Vegas its self but loved Lake Mead and Mt Charleston and the Grand Canyon and the Valley of Fire, all fantastic places, if only I had a horse there for a couple of weeks :p

Trewsers, we acctually went to see friends who were renewing their wedding vowles, we went to the white chapel and they had elvis do the ceremony, I am not a wedding person but I have to say it was FANTASTIC, so much fun and everyone could join in :D

The pones were very happy to see me, Phoenix was stood at the gate chuntering away when I got there :D Jess was stood waiting too, Bo was way off down the other end of the field, I whistled him and he looked and went back to eating, suddenly it clicked it was me and he came flat out bucking down the field then stood fidgeting at the fence till I scruffed him :D

Aw, sounds like your horses were well pleased to see you when you got home! Ace, its nice to be missed isn't it????! hehe. There are so many wedding chapels - we didn't have an Elvis wedding (tho it would have been fun!) we had a relatively "normal" service in the LIttle White Chapel (of which there are quite a few). I loved the Grand Canyon too - did you find it very hot down there in the bottom???! I'd never felt heat quite like it! (thought it was very "spiritual" too). So you didn't win your fortune on the slot machines eh?????!!! oh well...............................at least you have your horses to come home to!

It was very cute, I love to be missed :D

We didn't spend alot of time at the canyon, we only had 1 day so couldn't really explore alot, we didn't get to the bottom :( and it was bloody freezing on the south rim :( but we arehoping to spend 4/5 days there another year :D

I don't gamble (don't understand all those flashy lights  ) but OH didn't do to badly, he almost always walked away with more than her went in with :D

Hehe, I don't gamble as a rule either, but I couldn't help getting myself a cup full of cents and having a go! hehe, I won quite a bit about £300, needless to say, one slap up meal and wine later we ended up putting the rest back into the slots one way or another......eek, never again.(think how many rugs / horse accessories I could have bought with that money!!!) Hope you get to the Canyon again - its pretty amazing I think.
