I have heard or rather read about people that are taking the Pony Club test/exams. I just wondered if someone could tell me what these are and what they involve etc, are they just for the under 21's same as PC itself? Is there a website that I can take a look at that will tell me about them. I have looked at the PC website but I drew a blank - perhaps I wasn't using my eyes which is more likely the case!!

Hi
Pony Club exams are for Pony Club members only. You start with the D test and take the C, C+, B, H and A tests. The D test is very basic and the later ones are about the same as BHS Stage 2 and 3.

If you are over 21 and want to do a test, you could try the BHS Progressive Riding Tests - they comprise both stable management and riding tests. The only thing is they have to be taken at an approved BHS riding school - I don't know if you have one near you that would be willing to facilitate this.
For more information, have a look at the BHS website http://www.bhs.org.uk/Examinations/prog-tests.htm

Thank you!
Have bookmarked the link gonna take a look at it in a while!
I am doing my BHS Stage 1 in September, having a 10 week course at my local agricultural college (which isn't local at all - nearest more like)! with the exam at the end. But it all make interesting reading!
