I rode Jess last night, first time in 5 months I have sat on her and it was in my new saddle with new pad and cinch and everything. I was quite worried that she would be very sharp or that the new saddle might upset her, but everything went perfectly, she was as good as gold, we did about 10 minutes walk, trot, halt , backing and turning work in the field and she was fantastic :D
I am also very pleased with my saddle, I was very comfortable :D just need to check the fit a bit more, but only had OH to help last night (can be kind of ditsey round horses) and I didn't want to fuss round Jess to much last night, just in case :o It does seem to sit a bit away from her back from behind the seat, but once I got on it settled onto her back, I think it might be the combo of new saddle and pad, and it stayey close to her back after I got off too.
