That would be me.;)

It is really really easy to take the stuffing out. Give yourself an hour to do it, including the snow-drift of fluff you need to tidy up afterwards;)

Unpick a seam at the rim of the rug on one side (half way between the surcingles is easist) and turn the rug inside out. Pull all the fluff out, turn the rug back the right way and sew the hole up again. Dead easy and means you can buy any thickness you want. Have a look on ebay for cheaper rugs - weatherbetta combo's are easy to get and cheap if you don't mind what thinckness.

Here a few - not sure the size you need -

Landa combo 6'0 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WEATHERBEETA-LANDA-COMBO-60_W0QQitemZ160037718347QQihZ006QQcategoryZ72589QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Landa combo 6'6 (sort of) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Weatherbeeta-Landa-Combo-Rug-Medium-Weight-220g_W0QQitemZ200035281749QQihZ010QQcategoryZ72589QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Orican combo 6'3 (couldn't recommend these rugs enough) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Weatherbeeta-Orican-Combo-Turnout-Rug-6ft-3_W0QQitemZ290037716581QQihZ019QQcategoryZ72589QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Loads of others - just type in 'rug combo' or 'rug full neck'

Have you ever taken the filling out of a saxon rug? I can get the purple combo for £40. Im looking for a 5ft.
Another question:rolleyes: If a pony has a light weight on does there coat still fluff up ok to keep them warm or does the rug stop it working so well?

I have bought a Orican combo for my TB and it looks a great rug.

No the coat does not fluff up, the rug stops the hair filling with air, if your gonna rug when its cold, i would say its best to have one with filling:)

Rhinegold no fill combo £40

QUOTE]

I've just bought a Rhinegold no fill rug (no neck on it though).

Not very impressed. All the rugs we've had before had some kind of velcro on the chest closures to keep the front of the rug together or they had filling so we a bit stiffer than this lightweight rug. This one just has buckles and the front flaps on the chest keep folding in on themselves leaving a bit open bit at the front :(
