I have a freeform, nice saddle but I prefer my fhoenix. My freeform (16.5 Inch SB with forward girthing) fits my welsh d very nicely when my fhoenix wouldnt fit her.

I tried a Freeform on my round tubby Fell and I liked it very much indeed. Nice deep saddle, makes you feel very secure. Like all saddles however, both treed and treeless, your horse will have an opinion on it too. I went through trying a number of treeless saddles before finally settling on a Fhoenix yesterday. I felt very secure in the Freeform and it didn't slip on him at all, but my pony preferred the Fhoenix . . . and as he's the one who has to cart me around, his wishes came first! :D

So even though most treeless saddles will indeed fit most horses, sometimes horses will prefer one type over another.
