At LAST! Clipshak has finally downloaded my vids!!! Blimey!
Day 3 and I did it! Bareback and bitless solo in the school with OH filming as 'N' wanted to meet her mum for lunch. The goblin in my mouth apparently said 'oh, don't worry about mee, I'll be fiiinnneee'
Well, in at the deep end and much needed too I think.
Pre riding off horse exercises last night in jimjams for Enya and me helped loads - as did the bottle of wine!(*cringes* she'll KILL me for posting this  ): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/lynda788/Megan/RidingMeganbareback11.jpg ... I'm hoping it's not the reflection of the orange walls that makes us look so flushed but the effort of our exercise
I wore a rainbow jumper and orange trainers to the yard because I want it noted for prosperity that I'm not afraid to be different :o  Seriously - YES, I can do seriously :) - I deliberately don't wear riding gear to the stable to lessen any pressure I feel to ride... just in case the whole mob are there :o
Megan was up for it!
Up, up and awaaaayyyy! <embed src="http://www.clipshack.com/player-cs-em.swf?key=DBC7C637E718D967" width="430" height="354"></embed>

OH said I should have backed her up and made her stand after that take off but I was so pleased to have got on I forgave it... I won't if she tries it on next time though, I'm a stickler for mounting manners  She really did look after me though and was only cheeky once when OH walked along the side of the school and she 'mistook' the camera for food! I had to really use leg on and direct the rein to make her move away... but I DID it!
A change of rein, just coz I was feeling gooood and getting brave (in case you can't hear, I make her stand then say in a surprised voice to OH "she's doing what I ask her to do" <embed src="http://www.clipshack.com/player-cs-em.swf?key=F37C7E41B78FC95C" width="430" height="354"></embed>

It is helpful to see the vid; I think I'm using too much leg considering no saddle and my position is absolutely PANTS but hey ho, small steps for now, at least I stayed balanced on top of her and didn't slide to one side (I keep reminding myself it's only my 3rd ride in 8 months and last Friday I couldn't even make Megan move).
I've got my RA coming tomorrow morning so will ask her for some exercises 'on' horse in walk.
It's amazing what can happen in five minutes on your horse...
Imp feels happy (can't wait to trot! )
