my new treeless torsion saddle arrived yesterday - soooooo exciting - is so light- ruby has greeted her old saddle with flat ears & trying to bite me for last 3 weeks - think she was trying to tell me something - feel soo guility - put new saddle on & she didn't even notice - just went on munching - felt v odd when i first got on - went out & made patient friend ride behind me as i was convinced that saddle would fall off but finally stopped wittering & had bit of a canter -think new level of debt may be worth it - good job i liked saddle cos rode into thunder storm & soaked new saddle through & myself - but hopefully this will be a new start for me & the big girl - have boked shiastu session for her to really re-inforce that riding will now feel lovely - sorry if this is a bit self indulgent but was soo excitied that wanted to bang on a bit - thanks for giving me this space

Fab!
Yep, you definitely can't send it back now:D

Bet it helped taking a mate along to distract you whilst you nattered to each other- then you CANTERED!

Superb.

Nope, having a new saddle is really great, you just keep wittering on about to anybody who hangs round long enough to listen, but they soon got wise!!:D

Hope you have many more happy hours together!:)

thanks for all yr interest folks - tried to tell my colleagues at school but they all wandered off & made the face they do when i talk about horses - in answer to yr query breeches - i think that they fit any horse and because theyare softer they mold around yr horse and dont have a solid tree - you have to balance more i find and ride in a stiller way so bit of a challenge to a happy hacker like me - did tiny little jump on sun - felt bit wobbly with no knee rolls - theres loads of info re treeless on the equipment message board - a couple of proper experts there who can tell you far more than me

Ohhh, you lucky thing; I want http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/lynda788/SMILIES/medium-smiley-013.gif! Got the Dually headcollar and Bestfriend Bareback Pad... Next on my shopping list is a treeless saddle - Ebay, here I come (again) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=019&item=290040186430&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 *sighs*

I said on another thread I'm such a hippy rider; I've ordered bells and beads and am going to make Megan a rhythm bead necklace
