Sombody mentioned having their horses "toes curled":confused: Can anybody enlighten me? She mentioned the farrier doing it - why would somebody want to do this?

I can only think that they're talking about a 'mustang roll' though I'm not sure that farriers would call it that!

do you mean rolling the toes? this is to help prevent the horse tripping. some horses have long toes and find that they drag their toes or forge and rolling them helps. i'm not sure of any more details about it

Thanks for the replies - I think it must be something to help the horse stop tripping - so must be rolling. I'd never heard of it! Mind you - there is a lot I have to learn.....!!!
