Hi, my friend's 8yo appaloosa gelding has sarcoids on his head, lips and bum. He had these groaths when she first got him about 3 months ago. They look extremely sore and weeping. They look very much like scabs. My friend has been putting marmite on them-would this help at all? I've read a bit on them: www.petcaretips.net/equine_sarcoid.html
Any suggestions? Are they dangerous to the horses' health. Thankfully they aren't cancerous! Are there any cures/remedies at all?
Thanks ALOT! :D

Supplements that can work:
Sarc-Ex + Restore from Global Herbs
Eclipse Recovery from Simple Systems (though it's advertised as an immune booster not a sarcoid treatment)
Topical applications:
Thuja
Propolis and Aloe Jelly
Peanut

Het, bit of a late reply but Aloe Vera works and I have recently been sent a sample of a Natural Product that is showing results in treating sarcoids. Sarcrid Salve, theres an article about it on my site: www.funridesuk.co.uk
