hey
well i start from the begining.
may, 4 yr welsh mare. i lunged her on friday with no gear but had splint boots on, she was fine ie not lame the whole time. she was a bit silly though, but thats normal for her at time on the lunge.
anyway once i finished i tied her up took off her boots and in her nearfore she had filling , heat and when i lead her she was lame.
anyway today one of the other girls where i graze had the vet out so i got him to look at may. he came to the conclusion that she has injured one of her tendons.
what he suggested was to take her to massey (the uni here that trains vets and has an equine hospital) and get a ultrasound to see what she has done and how bad it is, this will cost about $220. he also gave me an outline of what i should be doing.
what i want to know is do you think that i should get the ultrasound done?
