Sorry gratitous Misty thread..:D
Went for a gorgeous hack with Misty's field friend yesterday.. Sun out, trees moulting.. a beautiful,beautiful day to be on the common.
Misty finds it hard to collect in Canter, so when friend cantered in front.. Misty did MAD trot.. Not terribly comfy for me.. I managed to get a few strides of canter, but she kept breaking back into trot.. More work for the school I think..:rolleyes:
Then we had a fast canter.. and I saw up her nose! LOL.. I kid you not, I had to hold her back as she wanted to go somewhat faster than I did..so she threw her head up rather high and I saw up her nostrils! LOL.. NOW I know what that Market Harborough is for! :o
All the people so far I have ridden out with seem to be of the opinon that Misty is a bit of a goer.. up to last week I thought they were kidding me! They'd say things like.. will you be OK if we canter? Or can you stop if we canter up here? I thought.. yes? Why what's the problem..? But NOW I know why! LOL.. after our Shergar moment last week, she appears to have gained a new lease on life, and will take any and every opportunity to gallop it seems! Fortunatley it doesn't really worry me, I can stop her and she never bucks, rears or does what my thoroughbred used to do.. jump up in the air all four feet at time! She only throws her head up and down... she goes what I can only describe as banana shaped.. tail up, head up.. typical araby thing I guess?
So basically I am having the time of my life and enjoying every moment.. and you know what? I think Misty is too..:D
OK gratuitous Misty moment over..:D I am getting a new/old camera from a friend later this month, so lots of piccies will follow for anyone needing gratuitous Misty photos.. ..:D
