I'm not ignoring our training thread I promise ;) :D .

Sorry I haven't posted in it for afew days - but I haven't been posting at all recently, so it's nothing personal to you ;) .

I broke my elbow a couple of weeks ago and have been having afew problems with it this week (keeps swelling up). So I've been having further treatment on it (just physio stuff) and consequently training with all the horses has stopped for the time being.

Will post again as soon as I have some training news to report.

Hope your mare's going well :) .

hey DeirdreBarlow !! Good to hear from you - I was beginning to worry that you'd got trampled or something  Broken Elbow ??? You serious ?? OUCH ! Definitely don't try ground training til you're well healed from that - 99% of the time it's all smooth and easy on the arms, but 1% of the time you've got to be quick and smart and forceful - so definitely a no-no on your injury.

... and I have an apology too ! Since the weekend, a huge hurricane type thing blazed through, shook everything and blew lots of stuff around ... ground is the wettest i've ever seen,... and I have a new tiny pony who is scared out of her tiny wits so she's taking up all the available energy and round--pen work. So... poor Summer Breeze has been standing in the field eating hay (ahh, poor Summer ! :D ). We're curiously limited here in wet weather, because I have to ride along the road instead of paddocks, which menas I have to get everyone ridden by 2pm else we start getting attacked by schoolbusses (not like any vehicle you have in europe - they go everywhere at 80 mph, are driven generally by drunken trailer folk, and are given absolute priority everywhere they go - not safe on our single-track roads )

So ... no progress reports all round ! We'll do better next week.
