It's wibbly & wobbly and very out of focus..but it's my first time & I'm so proud :)

YO's daughter and her family and the other livery had gone off to do a clear round with one of the horses on the yard tonight.

I was alone, 5:45pm, Megan was groomed, hooves picked out and stable all snuggly (apart from one bale of Bedmax that I'd left in DH's car and was waiting for it to arrive :rolleyes: )... how to spend the time...?

I've booked RA to come tomorrow at 8:30 and so I thought I'd have a teensy little ride, alone... with NOOOOBODY theeeerrreeee :eek:

Megan had had her dinner - a whole single handful of HappyHoof and cider vinegar - and was munching hay... how could it possibly hurt, I pondered?

I put her in her Dually, reins and Bestfriend bareback pad and up I got in the twilight.

We did some serpentines; large circles, small circles, carrot stretches (or pony nut stretches for fat girl) and stayed as normal in walk/halt transitions for 5 minutes... no pressure. She was really forward going and seemed to enjoy the peace quiet; bless her :p

Anyhow, a long held ambition since being a member on this forum was achieved tonight. Riding alone, no; getting her to listen to me, nope; Megan being forward going, uh uh... it was I got my very first... EAR SHOTS!!!!

WEll done Imp:D Greatstuff. I know it doesn't seem like a lot, but as one who has had a go at this virtual hack lark and failed miserably, I know just how difficult it is to balance camera, get shot, prevent horse from going into ditch etc all at the same time.

In fact I had a go a couple of weeks ago (before I disappeared of the NR planet:rolleyes: ), got one good shot which YO took of me setting off on Sennie, then got a shot of the floor, one reasonable ear shot, one of the track and one of an unidentifiable black mess which I later realised was his mane:confused: I didn't dare post them.. was much too embarrassed.:o

The ears are great.;) :)
