I used to be a nurse, before life got a grip ;) I found you get used to shift work along with all the other 'stuff' you have to get you head around... I didn't know you wanted to train as a nurse hun... good luck with it :D

Good luck to you to CF. I got accepted for nursing about 12 years ago when my children were small. My mum was to have helped me out with them but then my stepdad got diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (yes, he who finally left us earlier this year) and my mum didn't want to commit which is fair enough.

I desperately wanted to be a midwife :( I still have my letter, telling me I had been chosen from over 2000 applicants and picked for one of 65 places :D I guess it just wasn't meant to be.....

CF pm away but remember I trained in 1983 :eek: and WHAM were TOTP then - so not sure I'd be much help in today's Nurses World :D .. I went back to uni to study law when my kids were small so I may be out of touch :rolleyes:
