i never went to the yard last night to see Drummer and i got a call at 6.30 asking if i were going down as drummer was waiting for me by the gate :rolleyes: and another call from someone else to say at 9.30 he was still waiting by the gate and looking up every time he heard the latch go :rolleyes: :o :)

Aawww! You don't need to feel guilty but how lovely. Nice to know he misses you when you are not around!

That would male me feel horrible to think that an animal waited for me for a long time and I didn't show.

i did send down a dumpy bag of haylage with a message 'love from mom' :o

Don't beat yourself up about it, horses are thankfully very forgiving. He'll just expect an extra big hug tonight. :)

That is lovely how 2 of your livery peeps rang you to see if you were going up. I think that is a great sense of mucking in together.

- HUH is more that they no how gooey eyed over him i am and knew id by like oh my poor baby LOL ;) :D they would be smiling (friendly in gest) knowing that i'd feel guilty :)

:rolleyes: aw he would have forgotten as soon as i got the 'kind' lady who told me he was waiting at the gate to go back down the muddy lane, in the dark carring a dumpy bag of haylage courtesy of his mom :D - that'll teach them to chuckling at making me feel guilty LOL

awwww how sweet is that? I'll bet you got a lousy nights sleep thinking of him standing by the gate all night long. Poor little man :o . No vacations for you this year then huh?:D

Awwwwwwwwwww ; bless his heart "is that MY mummy yet?" Ahhhhhhh, they really tug on your heart strings don't they :p I know how you must feel though, I'd feel exactly the same if somebody called me and said Megan was standing waiting :D :D

ha no vacation this year. went away for the weekend in september. saw drummer on the friday and said goodbye arranged for someone to get him in sat and sun day time - got down there sunday eve and my gannet of a horse who lurves food had not eaten a thing all day sunday and was just stood in the back of his stable - took him a minute to stop feeling sorry for him self and come over and say hi :)
