Fat Girl...Thin! (sort of!) Dolly Pics.

Finally I am able to post these photos! I've been keeping track of Dolly's weight as many of you are aware, and have been keeping a photo diary of her 'weight loss'... which has been troubled by extra rich grass, her ability to jump electric fence when folk aren't looking and her being out of work more often than she's in!

Anyway, here we go... Fat girl on 4th June this year, just when her diet started.... weighing a whopping 520kg :eek:

And here she is, on the 18th of July, after a 'crash' diet, having lost some weight.... she's down to around 460kg here....

By the 8th August, she weighed in at around 420kg, and looked like this....

And finally, last week, weighing a slimline 400kg, but with a full winter coat which actually makes her look bigger....

It's been a slog, but her girth is looser, she's less lethargic and at last, she's not the 'Vicky Pollard' of the yard... not quite the 'Victoria Beckham', but we're getting there!!:D

She's been on a VERY strict diet... bare paddock and literally about 4ft x1ft more grass every day... her paddock made our local bowling green look like it badly needed mowing;)

She's also been worked daily (when she's been fit enough!), had her hard feed cut to the bare minimum needed to 'hold' her supplements AND been in with half a flap of skanky old hay for three to four hours a day... it's been hard work, but it's been worth it- she is no longer sluggish, she enjoys her work AND she's stopped coughing when she first trots!!:D

Does anyone want to see some more photos of her? Purely gratutitous you understand?!!;) :D

The horses have just moved into the winter paddocks on that last photo- literally five minutes before, so I would like to point out that she doesn't normally have that much grass, and hasn't got that much any more!!

We don't need a table, we use the pristine concrete!! Beer is often avaliable, as is tea, coffee, anything that can be cooked on a gas hob and grill, and occasionally a barbeque... it's all very civilised! :D ;) YOU need to get your arse down here and have a gander... there's probably a choice of hosses for you to ride too:D :D
