Well..... my 15hh irish cob has been lying to me.....
Measured her today and could just about eke her out as 14.2hh!!!
Admittedly she is now barefoot but even so, she wasn't wearing stiletto's before, so..........
Is a pony classed as 14.2 AND under or UNDER 14.2?? Just wondered if I could join the "adults who ride ponies" forum??? :p
(she still feels like a "horse" to me ;) )
..... and I don't love her 2 inches less either!!! :D :D

Ooohhh Jaaannne it's spoooooky - both our horses (ponies) have lost height this week!!! Where are all these equine inches going? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/lynda788/SMILIES/sad-smiley-030.gif
I'd say she's a porse if you can't decide the cut off... or a honie? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/lynda788/SMILIES/laughing-smiley-008.gif

Defo a pony Jane.. As the proud owner of a 15hh pony(OK, I know:rolleyes: but he is just an overgrown pony), Chez has no chance of making the horse stakes.;)

lol they are all ponies to me anyway, Bim lost an inch in transit too so it seems quite a common occurrance.

Curly Rach -Noooo, dont measure Curly....http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y40/novicenic/asmiliey/rotfl.gif
I reckon we all must have http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y40/novicenic/asmiliey/stupidsign.gif written across our foreheads.
My friend thought she had bought a 14 2hh but he turned out to be 15 2hh..http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y40/novicenic/asmiliey/jawdrop.gif.
Personally I prefer ponies. I like to delude myself into thinking I am in charge of my little one. Despite the fact he only weighs 1/2 a tonne...http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y40/novicenic/asmiliey/ridinghorse.gif

I have discovered where all the inches are going! And it's not going to your hips Jane! Monty has seriously grown! When we got him he was about 14hh, he is now the same height as brandy, who is 15.3hh! x

I dunno...Aramis was 16.1hh when i bought her, but now she is half an inch to an inch left...hmm.
Jane...14.2hh and under is a pony!! Deary me, you'll have to sign the membership form for the 'adults who ride ponies' club now, but hey, who says its a bad thing? http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b137/jenren22/Smilies/teehee.gif

Some of the inches are piling onto Fluke! We measured him last week and he was 13.3, 2 inches up from the last time we measured in the spring. His bum was 14hh!
What if he turns into a... HORSE???

My 15hh turned into a 14.1 1/2 hh after being measured, so I'm in the pony section, too! What a nice place to be--I always wanted one and it turns out I actually own one.

Well, in that case Crystal is a pony...she was meant to be 15hh...she just about scrapes in at 14.2hh...but can feel like 16.2hh when she is pratting me around! well, her withers are 14.2hh, her quarters are actually 14.2 and a bit...so work that one out, and no, she isn't still growing, she is 20 years old!!!

Jane, you've got both! A horse AND a pony:D Twice the love and double trouble hee hee!
Everyone calls HQ a pony. It seems that only the tall types are 'horses'. Harley was sold as 15 h but she's 15.I and a half; I think the dealer was trying to keep her in the cob class of things, as when I said she looked a bit taller she said NO she's definitely 15 h.

LD, cobs can go up to 15.2hh ;) So she still constitues entry to a cob class :D
Is she hogged btw?
