NEW HORSE - Passport

I am buying a horse (1st time) love him, met him, rode him....Passport has the previous owners x2 details?????!!!! If the seller signs the forms to transfer the details over, and I sign the new owner details, won't this info be incorrect to what the agency holds on this horse, I am so confused, seller says that she just never got round to changing it from the lady before her, she has all the micro chip details as well, and everything looked ok... HELP PLEASE....

I would have thought you will need to send the passport away to the issuing agency with a cheque and they will amend it and add your details to the passport and update their records.

When I moved house I got the address changed on mine, cost £7.50 and they just stuck an address label inside, so I'm also listed as if I'm a second owner!
