wow what i great day, only for 5 WHOLE strides did i try and tank off with my mom (only 5 guys) and she took my pretty head into a hedge  i was real good the rest of the time, we went accross open fields in gallop, slow canter, fast canter, walk and trott - what ever my mom asked and the more softer i was the more i could do :D yipppeeee

great day, and my mom seems so much more relaxed, i heard her cursing not long after we were off saying she forgot to have a fag once she got there, she must have been looking forward to it and forgot :) xx

he is cute :) he was really really good, we've worked really hard on him in the last 2 months (and he has worked hard) not to get carried away (bull to jump) and shooves his head right down, leans hard on the bit and tanks off a bit (making himself breakless) he got away with 5 stides the whole way round where i quickly shooved his pretty head in the hedge :) gallops and xc, brilliant stayed light in the hand - he was a real good boy, i cantered him shoulder in, so he was all up together if he felt as though he was going to go off

dont think he can stop himself when he goes off as it is all on the forehand, pessoa has rebalanced him so he can use his back legs to stop and go so he is lighter in the hand

i shouted a firm 'NO' at him once, and i felt his back legs come right under to slow himself and he chucked his head in the air and gave me back the bit LOL - he was great and is trying so hard for me. also all of this pessoa/free schooling has given me a voice he listens to - the fun ride was our test and he got 10 our of 10

DD - We are not worthy of you in the Nervous Nellie Club....I wished you good luck in the morning.

Well Done. Can I also ask why on Earth were you looking at buying a bigger horse?? Drummer is perfect for you, size, skill and everything. You look great on him and he is looking very stunning.

er thanks gracie, im afraid yesterday i splashed pics of drummer on mature, general and cafe  :D usually some of him dotted around but i lost my camera lead for about 4 months :)

NN - thanks for wishing me goodluck, did you get the vibes that i did not need to 'speak' to you the whole way round lol

selling of drummer - im not, how can i!!! ;) RI likes you to progress through your horses. But since drummer was ill a few months ago we have bonded so much and .... it would seem that drummer has grown in size, literally, he's not the skinny horse i brought and also the more his head carriage develops (eg he does not carry his head is not on the floor  the bigger he is) and also he rides with a lot more presence and power now, i also anticipate this will improve his jumping, the quality and the height (and we did not do so bad this sj season just gone). There is so much for him and me to do, and we are growing together

Basically we were going to get a bigger horse and i for one have always maintained drummer has horrible paces although a nice jump.

i have a bigger horse now :) and i have a horse that is starting to get not just a nice canter but a beautiful powerful one :)

Drummer is not the same horse anymore and much as i had an idea he was changing and all of this schooling is paying off i never realised HOW much until i saw the photo i posted yesterday (and ive only been schooling him for 2 months). I hate to say it but i looked at one photo in particular that i posted and thought - wow is that my horse :D (course being in the saddle, i could feel it, but not see it)

ps, your'll notice in the 2nd from last pic how much bigger drummer looks to the last one as his head carriage dropped to jump and the power went out of the front door, this is what i have been working towards on the flat then we'll go on to some work for jumping :)

"RI likes you to progress through your horses"

that makes me a little mad and sad-how are you supposed to create a great relationship like you have with Drummer if you're off buying a new one every 5 mins! the woman is missing out on the bestest part of horse owning

i supposed new horse = more lessons and being in a school environment it is all about being challenged

i must say that the knowledge that drummer is staying just cements the relationship and equally the thought previously that over the next 12 months or so really does hinder your relationship and bonding and in turn what i did with him in and out of the saddle

i agree this is the best bit :) maybe ill end up with 2 one day lol

My computer's frozen and will only show the first three pictures but they are lovely. You look very glam and Drummer looks very handsome, I think you make a great couple :)

I'm glad the good old British rain didn't spoil your day and your 'fun ride' did turn out to be fun after all!
