If you have a look at Vix3n thread on NH section dated 19th October, it explains it! :)

They're painted wooden beads threaded onto cotton thonging stuff. (very technical!)

Got them from a bead shop in my local area. Put a small hair slide at one end to fix to his mane and just tied up the ends.

Not sure he is that impressed by them however! We shall see how we get on as I'll have them on him when doing some ground work.:)

Those are lovely Nicolaj ;) Will they break easily if they get caught on something? I couldn't tell what you threaded the beads onto from the picture. How long did it take you to make it? I don't think I'd have the patience:D Now , you can make a matching fly mask:p

It took me an evening and a big glass of red wine!:D

Once I got into the rhythm (sorry no pun) it was quite easy.

Obviously, I only put them on to take the picture, he isn't mooching about the field with them on now! But they are made from a cotton thread which I would have thought would break under pressure.

Think I'd need two big glasses of red wine:p They're gorgeous;)

Thanks Julia!

Sometimes however, the bead holes weren't quite the same size so had to get a knife out an dig in a little, but kept my sanity, oh yes and another glass of wine!:D

I'm in the process of making some too! Have got some beads, but others I ordered have holes too small to thread on to the cotton cord I bought. :(

Have got some bells too - can't wait to get them done! :)
