I have a Welsh Section D mare and would like to know what people (Chev??)

She is by Sire Callerux Black Magig

Dam Pennorth Catryn (Might be Plasbach will check)

I have more but cant remember the names so will put them up tonight.

I do know that her old owners show a lot at the Royal Welsh and believe the Sire was highly placed in something or another!

P.S have looked on all breed pedigree

Calerux Black Magic has won a fair bit; I don't know him that well to be honest, but I think he's a half brother of Calerux Majestic Merlyn - same sire I think. (Calerux Magic??) Merlyn won a VHS championship at HOYS (??I think) a couple of years back; he's also won at the WPCS Championship Show certainly in the ridden classes (think he was dressage chamion one year).

If I'm right thinking Calerux Magic is his sire, then yes, he has some good performance breeding in there.

I'm not at all familiar with Pennorth cobs. There is a Pennal stud, and Penardd, and Pendam... can't help you with Pennorth though I'm afraid.

Thankyou for that i will put more of the dams breeding up to see if you know anything.

She has her fathers looks! He is still at stud, I still keep in touch with the breeder.

my welsh youngster has Llanarth lines (Llanarth solo, i think!) aswell. I remember chev saying they were very good performance cobs :)
