Importing from Belgium

It looks as though I will be importing my new driving horse from Belgium. What paperwork do I need and how does the process hapen. Also a time scale.

I am not sure about Belgium, but Spain, Portugal, Hungary require a passport, blood tests etc before the horse can be moved. Have you tried contacting DEFRA? Transportation is pretty straight forward and relatively cheap if you are part of a shared load - just double check it is a door-to-door service, some will only drop off at the point of entry, usually the docks.
