Leave the bridle and reins on 'til the very last is what stands out in my limited training!

For an exam you must ask the examiner if he'she would be so kind as to stand at the horses head. Or get the groom to do it.
Dismount the vehicle and store the reins in a terret or backstrap.
Undo the breeching straps and make sure they do not dangle on the floor. Loosen the belly band, then undo and store the traces, go around each side , don't lean across unless you are doing pairs.
Some continental methods allow you to do breeching then trace on each side. I prefer to have things balanced then if anything goes wrong you have both traces done up to the last minute.
Then take out. Move the vehicle back and away from the horse turning the shafts away so the horse cannot step back onto the shafts.
Walk horse to a tie ring outside and remove the bridle, storing the reins and place on a head collar, you can then take the horse into a stable. Leading them through stable doors with a blinkered bridle on is not wise. They can hit thier hips and make them nervous of moving forwards in a blinkered bridle. Then you can tie the horse in the stable and remove reins, undo crupper dock, then belly band and girth, take all that off in a one-er, then remove the colalr last.
Rules are never remove the bridle while the horse is between the shafts or undo the reins.
