yestoday i went up the stables and my pony blue had not eaten anything and kept laying down looking at her tummy I called the vet . the vet said she had colic she tubed her and she is getting better does anyone know anything more about colic????:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

mine had colic the other week. its awful isnt it :(
I keep a very very close eye on her (shes more likely to get it again now shes had it once) introduce different/increased feed/hay/haylage/grass very slowly and i now bed down on shavings as im worried shell get impact colic from eating the straw.
the early signs are a temperature, not eating, not drinking and generlly looking miserable. best to catch it early!! :)

Colic is the _symptom_ (painful gut) with many causes, from minor (wind, spasm of bowel wall) to major (twisted gut, obstruction).
