Hi All,

Has anyone ever tried this?
I own a rather disturbed BWB gelding, under saddle he's fine on the ground he'll take your hand of as soon as look at you. Now I bought this horse knowing he had "issues" 7 a reputation that goes back to Belgium! that and the fact this dreadful guy was going to have him meet a fatal accident!

I have had one session with an animal communicator and I an due another tomorrow. The first time was very strange and emotional he told us a few things that we already knew about this horse and then something we didn't like the fact he had his legs tied together (hobbled) while he was initially being broken as a 3 yr old..... now each time this guy mentioned being tacked up the horse stretched out like a cat and started to bite his at his legs as if trying to remove the hobbles. The guy also started to talk about the people that backed him and reminded him these people were in his past this is your future are these people here now?..... Now this is the spooky part.... believe it or not the horse walked up to the stable door looked around as if he was really looking for someone or something! coincidence??? I don't know but the look on his face said not....... especially when he nuzzled me after a good old look around now that in itself is a major break through as if you look at this horse in is stable he'll come over the door at you and take your face off given the chance!

A few people I have spoken to about reiki that have had it done to them say it is the most surreal experience and tended to work if only temporary (but they only ever had one or two sessions)

I'd love to hear from anyone that has tried this and what your thought are on this???

i think it's well worth a try.
amazing things have happened, 'miracles' even, and the worst that can happen is your horse won't be any different after a few tries.

A communicator regularly speaks to P! I used to be a very sceptical person but have changed my mind over the years. Just because I don't understand something, can't rationalise it using commonly accepted science & am unable to do it myself, doesn't mean it's a load of rubbish. I haven't had any blinding revelations about P but the advice I get from the communicator seems to be good & my gut feeling is that she is not a charlatan, just someone who tunes in far better than I ever could.

I had Reiki healing for a while but it only worked while I was having it.

If it works it works anything to help is good. You can change your horses bad past by replacing the past with a great future every time he comes to you in a loving way give him praise and a treat but ignore bad behaviour. He will llearn to trust you in time. I have seen this with my yard owners horses.

I'm a Reiki healer and I love it. :D I had my attunement in September and it has made a huge difference to my life and my own well-being. I am picking things up the more I use it, and certainly in people, we have both noticed a difference after a session.
I don't Reiki the animals as often as I'd like to - especially at the yard, I find the noise and energy distracting. But if I go up during the day when it's quiet, I often have a good grooming session and give Salsa a bit of Reiki.

No matter what, there will always be sceptics. A friend of my OH's loudly announced that he didn't believe in Reiki at all (and a few other choice things) whilst I was giving another friend a treatment for his back. I just shrugged and carried on with what I was doing. He was trying to get me into a heated debate, and I wasn't biting - it's his call whether or not he believes. I just know that, in my experience, it works wonders.

It really does work wonders. Sez, do you find it hard (or used to) when people where so sceptical (sp) about it?

I find that i get defensive....:o

I don't tend to be bothered by it, and just smile knowingly and Zen-like, which generally upsets the other person!:D Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and having converted a few semi-sceptics, and experienced what I have, I know it works, so I don't need someone else's say-so. I have found, since my attunment, I am much calmer about life and tend to play "peacemaker" whereas before I was easily rattled and had been known to argue with myself!

Ok. Thanks for that. Its basicly why I dont answer these types of threads!:o

I get a bit peeved off you could say, but then again, I know what amazing differances It can do.

I need to PM you about something....:D

Well there seems to be a positive response to all of this.... Zen just had his second session and is due his third on Tuesday! Although the second session didn't seem to be as ground breaking as the first as far as Zen reacting to it the healer told me it was a much better session and I admit Zen was a lot more receptive this time... one other thing that came out was an image of Zen being locked in his stable when he was being backed without any food for long periods of time...... the reiki healer is a guy called James French and had a website; www.reikicare.co.uk if any one is interested.

James went through the sequence of event in Zens life that has made him the way he is and at the end of the session he could do this without provoking a response in Zen whereas last week he went wild and got worse as he progressed through.... let see how his behaviour is this week.....

I have asked James to look at my other horse Sins next week more out of curiosity than anything else. He has been with me for 4 years and I know him very, very well so if he is a charlatan then I will know this time next week!
