I love most things about her, especially the whuffley noises she makes with her nose in my chest on a morning :) although i wouldnt mind it if she was hackable...ah well, i still wouldnt swap her :D

Ive just found the piccie of the magic moment (hehe)

I saw about 4 horses before I set eyes on Kia but before I'd even ridden him I wanted him!!!!

He was like a big teddy bear and made such a nice whinny when he saw us.
He was out in a field with the yearlings and hardly ever saw peeps except for the essential hoof trim. as the lady ran a stud farm and just used him to teach the yearlings field manners!!

I rode him jumped him and when my mum got on him she wasn't in riding gear and lost stirrups and reins but he came back to walk and she sorted herself out and trotted away fine.

Fabby horse and I love him even when he pulls evil faces at me at dinner time and EVEN when he throws me at jumping and makes me chase him the b*gger that he is lol

MY BOY!!!!!!!

Nikki and Kia xxxxxx :D

why do you love your horse/fave horse/s in your life?

Coquette wasn't the first horse I ever rode, but she was the first horse I got really attached to. Her owner, my RI, was nice enough to let me work with her under supervision. We started with free-lunging in the round pen, to the first rides, the first trots, the first canters... I've seen her progress into a great little mare with a heart of gold. I never loved that mare more then when I was laying in the dirt in the worst pain of my life after falling off of her, and she walked over to me, her ears pricked to me and just stood there, with her nose touching the ground. :o

was it love at frist sight

Basically, but the more I worked her, the more I liked her. :)

why did you buy them/it?

I'm afraid I don't own her, although I'd buy her in a minute if I could afford her, and she was for sale!

what's the ebst thing about them/what do you love about them?

She tries so hard. She really wants to please me. Oh, she will challenge me a bit every now and then, but I like that. If I have to dismount and leave the school for a minute, she watches me as I go and watches the door until I get back. She whinies when she sees me. She'll tuck her nose into my elbow and stay there while I stroke her nose. :) And she's just a really beautiful mare. Everyone says so. :D

why do you love your horse/fave horse/s in your life?

Because she is honest, funny and my perfect woman! She always tries to do what I ask, and I can always see the the funny side because she knows how to cheer me up when I'm down

was it love at first sight?

Ah.....I knew I loved her first off, but the first time I met her it took me over half an hour to catch her, she nearly squashed me as she jumped through a gateway and she took off on me

why did you buy them/it?

Because we matched. And because I was told she could jump.....and that I really would learn to control her :D

what's the best thing about them/what do you love about them?

The most entertaining things are her paddock temper tantrums when she jumps around bucking/rearing then hoons about. During the winter, if i didn't feed her before 5:19pm, she'd psych out :D So her human-like personality would be one of the best things
I love that she is such an honest jumper and tries her heart out for me, even if I let her down.

Currently, nothing I'd want to improve on, she's fine as she is! Except maybe a hand taller coz I'm getting a little big :o

why do you love your horse/fave horse/s in your life?
He has the kind of characture that appeals to me, he is cheeky, opinionated, funny, cute, loving, intelligent, loyal and honest. (could just do with finding a bloke that matches up to him ;) )
was it love at first sight (stuff the initial 'lust idea' if u know what i mean)
could you resist this? lol, this was the 1st moment I met Pickle he had just turned 2 years old
http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c34/totsndots/Pickle/Pickle1.jpg
why did you buy them/it?
his whole nature! he wouldnt get up so I could see how big he was, even the foal helped us try ;)
http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c34/totsndots/Pickle/Bexis007.jpg
he'd had nothing done to him training wise which was what I had wanted, he was soppy without being a dope, I knew in some respects he would be the easiest horse I have ever delt with, but with enough characture to keep my brain occupied :D
what's the best thing about them/what do you love about them?
:-) all of the above and everything else ;) the way he runs off with his food bucket when he has finished his tea, the way he is a bit naughty but seems to grin when he does it, and the fact he likes megga cuddles :D
and that my gut instinct about him was right. here is a picture of Holiday riding him, she broke him in for me and this was his 1st/2nd week under saddle.

anything you'd like to improve on, or are they perfect in your eyes, despite all the bad bits? I wish he was 2 inches or so bigger, he is a twin and we think that has restricted his size a bit, his full brother who is 6 years old is 15.3hh while Pickle is 14.2hh and his twin sister is 15hh, but then what he lacks in height he makes up for in every other way :D

why do you love your horse/fave horse/s in your life?
May is beautiful, smart, friendly, has a good sense of humour, and a fast learner...she's also just the right size for me: not too small, not too big (except sometimes around the belly area :D )

was it love at frist sight
When I first saw May, her face was shaved but her coat was very furry...and she was EXTREMELY fat :o Also, I didn't really have high hopes for a mare at the time, so it wasn't really love at first sight, but later on I realized that she was the perfect horse for me :)

why did you buy them/it?
I had been looking for a horse for nearly half a year, and all the horses I had looked at were too old or too unhealthy. May was 5 at the time and she was perfectly healthy, just a bit chubby ;)

what's the ebst thing about them/what do you love about them?
I love how curious May is and how quick she is at learning...I also love how friendly she is and good around people. I also like how she's not dead broke but she's not %100 crazy like she used to be.

anything you'dd like to improve on, or are they perfect in yuor eyes, despitr all the bad bits?#
I wish when I get into the pasture, she would come running up to me, but hopefully she'll do that one day :)

Why do you love your horse/fave horse/s in your life?
Because he's got all the potential in the world. He's going to be a world beater one day, and he's just a lovely boy. He's never got a bad word to say about anybody, he takes life in his stride, and he's just so damn hot!
Was it love at first sight
Yes. I was at a show with Harvey, waiting to go into the ring. All of a sudden everyone turned and looked - and there he was, coming out from the car park through a cap in the trees. He was SHOWSTOPPING, literally! I remember thinking "Wow.." and then I followed his career for the next two years, until he came up for sale and I was able to make him my own.
Why did you buy him?
Because I knew he was the next step up from Harvey, career-wise. He was my dream machine - the looks, the temperament, everything. Plus, I was sick of being second best to him! :D
What's the best thing about him and what do you love about him?
He's a saint. Although he's a baby and he's lived a very sheltered life, he never says "No!" or even asks why. He will try anything as long as he has faith in his rider. He's a happy, cheeky little chap who just thrives on human attention. Plus, I love the fact that people stop and look when I ride past on him!
Anything you'd like to improve on?
Not really, no. I think he's pretty near perfect - right age, right temperament, right skills. However, I would probably make him a little more sane - sometimes he does have his head in the clouds a bit!

And Harvey..
Why do you love your horse/fave horse/s in your life?
Because I trust him. Absolutley, totally, 100% trust him. He is a real character - his sense of humor is wicked and he always gives me everything he's got. I think he'd jump off a cliff if I asked him to!
Was it love at first sight
Yes. I'd seen a few horses, and my Dad and I had gone to a local tack shop just to have a look around. I'd never even considered getting a cob, but I saw the advert for Harvey on their notice board and just pointed to him, grabbed my Dad's arm and said "That's him."
Why did you buy him?
Because I'd fallen in love. Because when I saw his little face poking over the stable door, I just couldn't help smiling. And because when I was trying him, there were gale force winds and a bird scarer went off in the next field and he didn't flinch. :D
What's the best thing about him and what do you love about him?
The best thing about him is that he puts up with me happily! One time, my friend and I took him out for a hack in open fields - both of us riding him, no hats, headcollar and one leadrope. We were cantering around, me in front and her holding onto me, and the little chap didn't put a foot wrong. I love everything about Harvey. I really, genuinely do. I love the fact that one day I'll sit on him and it's like riding a Grand Prix horse, he goes so perfectly, and then other days I sit on him and it's like I had just as well not bother! I love the fact I can hack out and gallop and jump for hours on end and not once feel unsafe. And I love the fact that all of my friends can do the same, and they all feel completley happy on him (even if they've never met him before!).
Anything you'd like to improve on?
I'd make him a few years younger, because I know a lifetime with him will never be enough.
