Hello everyone,
I have been riding on and off for all my life - mostly off, I hasten to add.
Most of my riding was done getting on for 20 years ago and my moment of glory was competing in 2 dressage tests.
I started riding again in the school holidays with my daughters 5 years ago and have just started having lessons where I live. I live in Germany and
the teaching is absolutely awesome. I am on the lunge and perfecting my
seat and can`t believe how ignorant I was and how nobody ever really taught me anything at my old riding schools.
Does anyone know of anywhere in the Derbyshire or Cheshrie area where I can get the kind of "aha" experience that I am getting now? Last week I rode a warmblood horse and for the first time got a real mediium trot. I can`t believe I`ve gone so long without really feeling it. Likewise in canter, nobody ever told me before how to open your hips with each stride. This is the kind of thing that would really help me, so if anyone knows of anywhere I could go in the school holidays when I`m back in England I would be really interested.
Thanks in advance
